Beautiful lake views. Damaged by Hurricane Harvey but they are rebuilding. Excellent price considering the view. Easy access off/on I-10. Highway noise may bother some people but can't beat the view or price with Passport America discount.
Its a nice place. After they recover from the hurricane damage I'm sure it'd be very nice. Nice water, caught some nice catfish, a few bass, and something that looked like an alligator gar. Good kayaking spot, several beaches to board and exit the kayak.
Wifi sucks. One day it works, next day nothing. Ants are real bad here, and the driveway coming in is full of pot holes. But other then that the lake is beautiful & very friendly atmosphere
Worst place I've ever stayed. Dirty and out of date and the owner is very rude!! Not worth the money..
Yes the place is adjacent to I-10 and there is road noise. The lake is an old sand quarry used to build up the interstate. It is very deep and the lake water is constantly being pumped out to feed other nearby lakes, so the water circulates, never becoming stagnant. Boomtown lake is beautiful, the water is very clean.
